Country Floors Announces Inaugural Tile Design Challenge!

Country Floors is pleased to announce the launch of an inaugural Tile Design Challenge, in partnership with Elle Décor. Students will compete to create a winning Country Floors tile design, to be featured in Elle Décor and in the Country Floors showroom. The grand prize winner will be selected during Country Floors Tile Design Awards Ceremony held at the Country Floors New York City showroom, located at 15 East 16th Street, New York, NY on Wednesday, April 27th from 7-10 pm.

Submissions to Country Floors Tile Design Challenge began on Friday, March 18, 2016. To participate, all entries must be a currently enrolled students at an accredited college within the tristate and not expected to graduate before December 31, 2016. The submission deadline is April 11, 2016, at 11:00 pm. The Country Floors Tile Design Challenge provides students with the opportunity to submit one design in the Encaustic Tile, Handmade Mosaics, or Waterjet design categories.

The top ten finalists will be highlighted via social media where Country Floors followers can vote for their favorites. The selected top 5 finalists will be directly notified and invited to attend Country Floors Tile Design Awards Ceremony, where the winner will be announced. The judging panel will consist of Elle Decor market editor Carisha Swanson, Country Floors showroom manager Yasin Sengul, Country Floors Marketing Manager Justine Sturtevant, and popular emerging designer Antonino Buzzetta, selected by Elle Decor.

The winner of the competition will be featured in Elle Décor and on all Country Floors media outlets, will receive a monetary gift card courtesy of Country Floors, and will be mentioned during the upcoming International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICCF). A monetary donation will also be given by Country Floors to Housing Works Charity, along with additional local New York City housing charities.
