We opened our first Country Floors showroom outside the US in Sydney, Australia on Moncur Street, where it remains today. Norman continued to travel the world over, seeking authentic and beautiful tiles from countries such as Peru, Mexico and Israel. During this time, on a piece by piece basis, he collected antique Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, Iranian, Afghan, Turkish, and Tunisian tiles. The four-thousand year old tradition of tile decoration so inspired him and continues to drive his passion for ceramic arts today. And by the way, we have not stopped collecting.
