We moved our New York showroom to a historic building just off Union Square at 15 East 16th Street. Others would follow us to this soon to be fashionable area. This was also the year the first few containers of tumbled marble arrived in Country Floors warehouses. The marble tiles were quarried in Italy, Iran, Israel, Spain, Morocco and Turkey and then tumbled in a small factory just outside Parma, Italy. Once installed, designers and clients acquired a new appreciation for these rock formations of compressed minerals, vegetation and simple forms of early life pressed together millions of years ago.
