In nature, it is rock. Once touched by human hands, crafted into the forms that will grace our interiors, it is stone. At a glance you can see how this rock was formed. Gently, over time, its delightful salt-and-pepper strata of minerals were eroded from higher ground and deposited in beautiful linear succession by moving water. If they remind you of tree rings, no wonder. Each lovely layer indicates the passage of time. How can something so ancient look so modern? We cut the stone into generous, large-format 24” square tiles and give them a glistening high polish. The rest is achieved by their natural black and white striations.
