Architectural Digest Names Best Bath Ideas for 2020
This April, with baths suddenly having become perhaps the most important room in everyone’s home, it may be a helpful coincidence that Architectural Digest has issued its “AD Great Design Awards – Bath” and editor-we-love Madeline O’Malley has lined them up for readers in a multi-page extravaganza of 53 great bath design ideas for a country washing its hands and showering more than ever. From faucets to bath furniture, wallpaper to a Scavolini bath that’s part home gym (!), AD April has the bath covered.
The Blue Wave
We’re pleased to report that Country Floors is among the honorees. Our Sister Parish Design for Country Floors tile, Cecil Stripe in Snow White and Blue is part of a trend that the magazine calls “The Blue Wave,” graphic tiles in a range of oceanic hues. We’ve been on a blue wave for a while now, check out our many blue styles!
We know this may not be the moment you’re looking to re do your tiles, but you can order samples and start creating a story board for your renovations and design projects. Meanwhile switching a mirror is an easy update. AD says you might try one of the new round mirror styles. We think these would look equally swell in an entry hall or over a mantel.
Scavolini’s new Gym Space lets you appropriately social distance while keeping fit – right in your own bath! A series of mounted wall bars accommodates a TRX system and can also be used variously in the bath to support shelving, mirrors, lighting and more. Our sleek Status Ceramic would make a beautiful backdrop for this Scavolini gym system!
