Think about the times that you are going on a vacation. You’re the client, you want to feel exclusive, you want to get an experience that you can’t forget, even for a few days. If you’re creating a new hotel project or working on a new commercial space renovation, then it’s the right time to give that feeling to your guests, as well. And one of the best ways to do this is by choosing the best tile for hotels. They should see the luxury when they look at the hotel floor tiles, and they should feel like everything’s made of jewelry when they touch the materials. Our design consultants have curated a few materials and hotel tile design options from our latest commercial tile project experiences.

Why We Think Commercial Tile Projects Should Run Differently?

Here is something our design consultants always bring up in the first meeting with a hospitality client: a hotel is not a home. The tile you choose for a private residence needs to last for years. The tile you choose for a hotel needs to last decades, look impeccable on day one and day three thousand, and perform under a level of foot traffic that most residential floors will never see. Hotel lobby tiles take thousands of steps every single day. Hotel bathroom tiles design has to handle back-to-back guests, aggressive cleaning products, and constant moisture without showing wear. Hotel and spa tiles need slip resistance that meets safety standards without sacrificing the aesthetic your brand promises. This is exactly why we approach every hospitality tile project as its own discipline.

Area by Area: Our Design Experts Recommend the Best Tile For Hotels

Love At First Sight: Impress Your Guests While They’re Walking in the Entryway

What do you do when you are approaching your hotel? Let me tell you mine, I’m looking for every detail and trying to get the vibe. Yes, vacations are always fun, but what makes you feel like you’re stepping into the new season of the White Lotus (don’t worry, that won’t end badly!). If you’d like to impress your guests with a luxurious beginning, a hotel lobby tile in marble floor tile can be the best entryway floor for your hotel.

Waiting Should Not Be Boring: Make Sure Your Guests Start Their Journey Aesthetically

Not everyone feels good while waiting for their room. I don’t like waiting. In that case, think as a guest. What experience would make your customers feel differently? You need to create a persona, a characteristic detail about your waiting area. Choosing the right floor tiles for lobby is the best choice that you can make. Are you a modern interior design nerd with luxury sense of material? Then, you can add a checkerboard floor tile made from Calacatta Picasso and Aspen White marble tiles. They’re not the usual black and white floor tiles; they create their own rules and play according to them.

But if you’re choosing the classic approach, with white marble floor tiles and marble medallions, you’re totally fine. I wouldn’t think a traditional hotel lobby design without that duo, and it literally screams luxury. “Welcome, we’re going to take care of you really well” kind of luxury.

They Can Forget the Date but Not the Floors: Restaurant Floor Tiles

Hotel restaurants are my favorite spaces, except for the pools and entertainment areas. And as a customer, I’d like to feel like I’m in a modern life fairytale with that kind of luxury. Because you know, if you’re staying in a hotel, you probably do your makeup, dress up for that, and that’s a cool experience. New restaurant floor tile trick for all contractors: choose such good restaurant floor tiles that your customers can easily forget about their dates, but not the luxurious black and white checkered floors!

On the other hand, what if you can provide a Renaissance like experience to your guests, day and night? You can still do it by choosing a Calacatta Renaissance marble. Use them on the floor, on restaurant backsplash tiles, on restaurant kitchen tiles. Cover all the space with Calacatta marble, and you don’t have to do more!

Hotel bars? Great way to end a luxury dinner, right? Personally, I’m really into dark interior designs in hotel bars, and a black porcelain tile can easily provide that. If you choose a stone look porcelain as tile bar front and backsplash tile, you can easily achieve the dark aesthetics you’d like to have. Also, since porcelain tiles are really durable, spilled cocktails and wine won’t be a problem to maintain.

Wet Zones: Make Them Feel in Luxury, Even With the Materials

On vacations, we like to feel like we’re using some space to renew ourselves, in every way. And I think bathroom tiles are really important to get that feeling. Just think about the “getting ready with the girls” part, and you’ll get what I try to say! Using a 70s inspired marble mosaic tile on your bathroom backsplash will make your backsplash famous on Instagram, because I know no one can just pass in front of it without taking a mirror selfie.

If you’d like to give the aesthetic luxury sensation to your guests even in their shower, you already know what you should choose. Zellige shower tiles are the latest trend, and since they’re authentic Moroccan tiles, your guests will feel all the mystery and handmade luxury when they step into the shower. Zellige tiles are the key; just know how to use them correctly.

One of the latest shower designs is slab shower walls. You can choose a luxurious quartzite slab to use in your shower wall and just impress your guests with how the natural stone can look this good on the wall. It’s a good trick, since you avoid grout lines of the tiles, it’ll be easy to clean, and that’s a total win-win situation for all!

Hotels are the best places to feel exclusive experiences. And one of the ways that you can do this is by going to a hamam or spa. As the project planner, you need to choose the right hotel and spa tiles option that can handle the moisture and the heat loop all day long. Porcelain tiles will be your best friend in that case, again. By choosing a non slip spa floor tile made from porcelain and a porcelain wall tile that won’t cause a problem (trust me, it won’t if you compare them with natural stones), you can avoid all the headaches and give an aesthetic experience to your guests.
