Country Floors held the 2nd Annual Tile Design Challenge Award Ceremony with NYC&G Magazine, to benefit Housing Works NYC. The ceremony took place on Thursday, April 27, 2017, at our Country Floors flagship showroom in Manhattan.
Our Kitchen and Bath Tile Design Challenge allowed New York interior designers and architects students an opportunity to digitally design a luxury kitchen or bathroom. The contestants had to showcase Country Floors products from tile collections, and slabs to Country Floors’ very own bath vanities series in a kitchen or bath setting.
This year’s top three finalists included Diego Varas, Minh Lai, and Kareen Borgella.
We are proud to announce Minh Lai was the grand prize winner of this year’s competition. Minh Lai graduate student at
New York School of Interior Design pursuing a Master’s Degree in Interior Lighting Design. Minh’s winning design was created with the vision of ultimate comfort and a relaxing spa atmosphere, keeping in mind current tile trends like our encaustic Bercela Tile Collection and waterjet Talya Collection, Country Floors bath vanities, and brushed brass accessories.
We have been more than honored to work with this year’s elite judges, including celebrity interior designer Jarret Yoshida, NYC&G Magazines’ Editor in Chief Kendell Cronstrom, Country Floors Product Designer Omar Torres, and Interior Design Society NYC Chapter President Julie Schuster
We couldn’t be more thrilled with the success of this year’s event and completely agree with our judge IDS NYC Chapter President Julie Schuster, when she described the event as spectacular, full of energy, excitement, and creativity.
