So begins the languid days of summer. Following the Memorial Day Holiday, kids are home from school, pools are open, the beach beckons, and conversations on Summer Design Trends 2019 begin. So let’s join those conversations with our take!
There is a fun website called, DesignLike.com that recently offered a few thoughts that we will roll along with from a tile and stone perspective. Let’s move a bit randomly here with their ideas.
Play With Colors. Any tile and stone vendor is going to love this idea for obvious reasons. Below is a good example!
Embrace Coral. In other words, the Pantone Color of the Year, Living Coral, as shown below. This might not be the color to invest in as a durable finish material, but as a paint, wallpaper, or soft item it brings some interest for sure.
Use Florals. Why not? They are always calming and seldom “shout” of a trend. A nice panel, like the one below, is an easy way to bring florals into the equation.
Patterns Are Cool. The pattern on pattern on pattern may possibly be a “bridge too far” for many clients. That said, a few carefully curated patterns can enhance a space fairly simply.
