Happy hues and midcentury silhouettes impress at the modernism week showhouse in Palm Springs. For the third consecutive year Traditional Home Magazine, traveled to Palm Springs, CA to partner with designer Christopher Kennedy in celebrating the classic design style of midcentury modern for the 2017 Christopher Kennedy Compound Modernism Week Showhouse.

Social Media star Kelly Lee – of lifestyle blog Kelly Golightly – and her husband, Klaus, opened the doors of their refreshed 6,500 sqft villa in the Andreas Hill area to raise money to support preservation, education, and neighborhood in Palm Springs. More than 20 talented designers, including Kennedy and Lee, shared their inspirations for midcentury modern design.

Country Floors had the pleasure to work with the who is who of the interior design industry in Palm Springs and provided one of our customer favorites, Avenza Honed White Marble tile for the compound. The combination of natural marble with classic and traditional shades of black and white translate to a luxurious yet traditional look. While taking the showhouse tour, guests were impressed with the versatility of our Avenza Honed White Collection that could be seen throughout the showhouse floor from the living room, foyer, dining room, kitchen, master bath, and lounge to the laundry room! The integration of both classic and contemporary shapes and sizes utilizing the art of mosaics provides never-ending design choices!
